Share your search wisdom. Become part of the Hive.

Search Engine Hive is where serious SEOs, growth marketers, and site owners go to learn tactics that actually move the needle. If you have original research, data-backed case studies, or practical, deep-dive guides that help people win on search — we want you.

What we want

We publish in-depth, evergreen, actionable content that professionals bookmark and share. Submit content that teaches, proves, or clearly demonstrates how something works in the real world.

Preferred topics (but not limited to):

  • Advanced SEO techniques & case studies
  • Technical SEO (indexing, crawling, structured data, site architecture)
  • Content strategy that scales organic growth
  • Search advertising & paid search strategy (PPC)
  • Analytics, measurement, CRO and attribution for search channels
  • Local SEO & multi-market/international SEO
  • AI in search, intent modeling, semantic SEO
  • Backlink strategies, outreach & link audits (ethical methods)
  • Site performance, Core Web Vitals, UX for search
  • E-commerce search & product discovery
  • Tools, playbooks, templates, and reproducible experiments

Submission rules (please read carefully)

To keep quality high, posts must meet these minimums:

  • Length: 3,000+ words for cornerstone posts; 1000–1500 for highly focused guides or research summaries only if exceptionally data-rich.
  • Originality: Content must be 100% original and not published elsewhere (including personal blogs). We do not accept content that is republished or spun.
  • Research & Evidence: Back claims with data, screenshots, step-by-step examples, code snippets or verifiable references. Case studies with before/after metrics are strongly preferred.
  • No promotional content: No salesy posts or articles whose main purpose is to promote a product/service. Mention of tools is okay when genuinely educational.
  • Formatting: Use clear H2/H3 headings, short paragraphs (≤ 3 lines), bullet lists, numbered steps, and a summary or TL;DR. Add a conclusion with clear takeaways.
  • Images & Media: Include a featured image + in-article screenshots/infographics. You must own or have rights to any images — supply image files or links and attribution where needed.
  • Links: Up to one do-follow link allowed — typically placed in the author bio. In-article links should be to reputable sources only and may be edited/removed.
  • File & delivery: Send as a Google Doc (preferred) or .docx. Share edit access or exportable link.
  • Infographics & Originals: If you include an infographic, attach the high-res source file (AI, PSD, or high-res PNG) and raw data where applicable.
  • Grammar & tone: Use clear, professional English. Run a grammar check before submitting. We will edit for style and clarity.
  • Author info: Attach a short bio (40–75 words), a square headshot (≥300×300 px), and your social/profile link for the byline. We’ll include one link in the bio.
  • Plagiarism: We screen every submission. Plagiarized content will be rejected outright.

How to pitch

We prefer a short pre-pitch first (3–5 topic ideas). This saves you time and helps us identify the best fit.

Email your pitch to: hello@searchenginehive.com

Use this subject line: Guest Post Pitch — [Your Headline Idea]

In your email, include:

  1. Proposed headline + 1–2 sentence summary.
  2. Why this topic matters to SEOs/marketers right now.
  3. Estimated word count and whether you plan to include original data or case studies.
  4. Links to 1–2 previously published articles that showcase your writing.
  5. Short bio + headshot (or say you’ll attach these with the draft).

If we like your pitch, we’ll invite the full draft. You’re welcome to submit a full draft straightaway (Google Doc preferred).

What happens after submission

  • Review time: We typically reply within 1–2 business days.
  • Edits: We reserve the right to edit for clarity, formatting, SEO structure and house style. Major edits will be discussed with you.
  • Publication: If accepted, we’ll share an estimated publish window and promote the post across SearchEngineHive’s channels.
  • Rights: You retain copyright; by publishing with us you grant SearchEngineHive the right to host and promote the content permanently.
  • Removal & links: We reserve the right to remove or modify links or content that later violate our guidelines or quality standards.

Important — What we won’t accept

  • Thin, “listicle-only” posts without insight.
  • Overtly promotional content, product launches, or press releases.
  • Reposts, translated duplicates, or content under consideration elsewhere.
  • Articles with excessive self-linking or link farms.

Tips for a higher chance of acceptance

  • Send original data or a reproducible case study. Numeric before/after results are gold.
  • Use real screenshots, explain tools & steps used, and show search console / analytics evidence where possible.
  • Craft a strong headline and a clear, single takeaway. Readers should be able to implement something after finishing your post.
